I really didn't need yet another set of measuring spoons but when I saw these I loved the idea of keeping them together with magnets instead of putting them all on a ring or a chain. I can easily extract just the size(s) I need and not fuss with keeping the rest of the set out of the way when they're all chained together.They even work better in the dishwasher than a set that's chained together. I've sometimes had a spoon nest inside of another one resulting in the larger spoon not always getting cleaned. These magnetic spoons come apart easily and I can place 2 in the same basket and not worry about nesting if I have them in opposite directions (narrow end down vs narrow end up) — no chance of nesting!I haven't had them long enough to comment on their durability but they seem to be of good quality. So far I like them and reach for them first when I need a measuring spoon. I'll be moving soon and my old sets of spoons may end up in the "donate" box. :-D
