SIMPLE grater for my needs

I bought a basic grater from the Boska Holland Amsterdam Collection because I needed a grater for making liquid hand soap from soap bars. Ever since this little grater came along, I've used it to grate two different bars of soap: Ivory (Original) and Dove Unscented. Both bars were easy to grate, which is why the term "Easy" is appropriate in the name of this grater. To make hand soap, I had to add grated soap to boiling water and stir until the soap flakes were completely dissolved. The ivory bar was a little harder to rub, probably due to the ingredients. The ivory soap flakes stuck to the inside of the grater more easily, but were easy to remove. The Dove Unscented bar is very easy to grate and the flakes do not stick to any part of the grater or the built-in container. The BHAC Easy Grater not only gets the job done, it's easy to hold during the grating process, but be very careful with the metal grater's "blades" as this little grater is very sharp and it's very easy to turn on or off cut two layers of skin off your fingers if you're not careful. I'm happy to report that no blood was shed during the rubbing, but I came close. This little tip helped me change the position of the hand holding the soap so my fingers don't get torn by the bar of soap. A tip for grating is to place the grater on the counter (at an angle) for more stability when grating. When grating the Dove bar, I first held the grater in one hand while grating the soap with the other. Because the Dove soap flakes were drier (than the Ivory bar), they flew out of the container easily as I rubbed the soap. I quickly realized that setting the grater up on the counter (at an angle so it wasn't quite vertical) while grating made it easier to both grind the grain and keep it in the jar. It is clear that the decision whether to keep the grater or put it on the counter depends on what is being grated. I love the built in soap flake container and the easily removable top of the grater that doubles as a lid. The container also easily empties into a bowl or other container. Whether the BHAC Easy Grater is used for bars of soap or blocks of cheese, the texture of the soap or cheese will of course make a difference depending on how simple or complex the grating process is. Cleaning the BHAC Easy Grater is child's play. I have no idea how easy it would be to pull out the cheese flakes because I've never used it to grate cheese, but I think some cheeses come out easier than others. I use a plastic brush (one of those round types with built-in liquid dish soap) and brush with the blades down (if you move against the blades like you're grating cheese or soap, the bristles of the brush would rub - it's so sharp) . this little grater!). The lightweight BHAC grater is small enough (width and length) to fit in a cutlery drawer (sits snugly in one of the storage compartments). I purposely turn it upside down so as not to accidentally cut my fingers on the sharp blades when trying to get a fork, knife, or spoon. If you want to hang the grater on the wall, the grater has a small hole (about the size of a regular hole punch) to the neck of the container. In my opinion, the company that made this grater thought of everything. I'll probably buy another one just for eating because now I'm excited to see what kind of food the BHAC Easy grater can grate: cheese, carrots, apples and so on.
