Compatible with most functions of a USB-C hub, except for sending video to monitors

I bought this USB-C adapter to connect my Surface Pro 3 to a USB-C dock so I can connect my laptop to dual monitors. However, this product does not work in this use case. I tried this on my Dell laptop. It still does not work. Note. * Suggest to search the DisplayLink website for USB Type C Docks that support DisplayLink.
