Review on Ultimate Indoor Water Conditioning with H2OEliteLabs Electronic Conditioner EWC Max by Joe Jordan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It doesn't "soften " up, but seems to do what I expected.

We have pretty hard water. The reading of the TDS meter ranges from 300 to 500 ppm. We weren't looking for a water softener to salt feed, we wanted to do something to hopefully reduce water build-up in plumbing fixtures and pipes. I decided to try this electronic air conditioner. Installation was easy, just a little tedious wrapping the wire around the pipe the recommended number of times. The rest of the connection was easy. After more than two months of work I can tell you the following. As expected, the TDS readings didn't change much (and since nothing was removed or added to the water, this was to be expected). The taste of the water has not changed significantly either. White, powdery deposits from hard water still show up on showerheads and the water dispenser in our fridge, but they seem easier to clean—often all it takes is a sponge and water, or a simple cleaner rather than a long soak of vinegar. Stains will also remain on dishes in the dishwasher if no rinse aid is used, but they can usually be removed with a damp cloth. The biggest difference seems to be the amount of soap I use when showering. Almost immediately after installation I noticed that I was able to use about half the amount of shampoo to wash my hair and the soap seemed "soapier". We also use less detergent in the dishwasher without sacrificing cleanliness. These are all relatively subjective observations, but we feel it does something positive and meets our expectations. In general we are satisfied with the purchase.
