It's so pretty but I expected the wood to be shiny.
This is so pretty but I was expecting the wood to have a high gloss finish similar to other quality wooden toys we have. My child is only moderately interested in it. but my dog liked to nibble on a corner. Minus 2 stars for a children's toy, plus 1 star for a dog toy? Verdict: I hesitate to buy more Grimm wooden toys because of the roughness of this finish.
