When I mix dry ingredients with my old blender, I usually find that some or a lot of it spills out of the bowl all over the blender. With this blender I no longer have this problem thanks to the lid. Whether I want to use it or not, I can do it because it comes off when I want to take it off. However, the hole on it allows me to still add other ingredients while the blender is on. Whether I'm making cake, batter, or whipped cream, nothing comes out of the bowl while it's on. Not to mention, even when I add ingredients, I never have to worry about them splattering and making a mess. This blender is very easy to use and much quieter than my old blender. Everything is easy to disassemble and wash as well. Really powerful blender that gets stuck on my counters.
