Review on πŸ’§ Faucet Advanced Filtration with Culligan FM 15A: Enhanced Water Purification Solution by Tiffany Williams

Third Purchase; always breaks after warranty

This is the third Culligan faucet filter we have bought. Each of the previous faucet filters broke at the high end of the water pressure near the end of the 2 year warranty period. After the first outage, I confirmed with our water supplier that our water pressure was right within product specs (100 psi max; if I remember correctly we had 70-something). I was able to extend the life of the first two filters by another year by gluing a steel disk to the top where the star-shaped cracks appeared, but the cracks kept growing. Cracking can probably be avoided by running water through a filter, but that's slow enough so we haven't been consistent with seepage. We'll only try to seep through these, but I also plan to reinforce the top before the cracks show up. I found a metal lid from a jar that fits the top snugly so I'm going to epoxidize it and hope the reinforcement lasts longer than it has in the past. I've used Pur filters in the past and they failed in ways that were harder to troubleshoot after about the same amount of time. I've looked at other similar faucet filters but they all have issues and the Culligan has some of the best filter performance and a two year warranty so let's start again. Edited to include a photo of my attempt to reinforce the top with metal. Lid. It is potted with JB Weld 5000psi epoxy. I'll find out in two years whether it helped.
