Review on πŸ–ΌοΈ d-c-fix Self-Adhesive Window Film - Perl, 17.7 inches x 78.7 inches by Justin Yay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal. Private. Panelless (haha).

I was concerned that similar products in stores had warnings, use of a special spray, etc. The stickiness of this product was very gentle. It's marked as removable and does just that! In fact, in a rush to get my first window pane, I tore off the entire panel to glue it to and it stuck (of course!) to itself. Angry at myself, I forced myself to be more patient and found that I could (carefully) peel it off and reuse the same piece on the original record. By moving OUT with my outstretched hand and fingers, I got rid of the air bubbles more easily. Also, I could lift the edge as needed to release trapped air bubbles. Cut the pieces so they overlap slightly, then use a sharp razor after smoothing. Blade 2-3 times on each section, then trim off the excess. Clean your windows beforehand. I did, but then I noticed muddy edges (we have a 20 year old house) from years of windblown dirt and thought I should have taken a blade before gluing this thing. I'm worried that dirt under the edges will peel it off faster. A 6 foot roll is enough for two bathroom windows. I'm thinking of a different design for my huge bedroom window.
