I have an external 1 TB Western Digital SATA WD10EADS hard drive that neither my MAC nor my computer can read anymore. It had all my pictures of my children since 2003. It received power, made a clicking sound, and flashed a light. After trying all kinds of software to get my computers to try and read it. I have several suggestions for data recovery. Most offers were $600 and up. Then I decided to watch some YouTube videos about alternative data recovery methods. There I found out that there is such a thing as a hard disk reader. I had no idea - never needed it. So for $20 I took a leap of faith and bought this. I carefully removed the hard drive from the case and literally carefully inserted it into this reader. And after 2 minutes my MacBook recognized the hard drive - all my files were there and I literally cried with joy. As I type this, I upload them all to the cloud - then copy to a new hard drive just to be safe before it dies. I cannot recommend this product enough. Not only has it saved me the stress of losing my memories, but it has also saved me hundreds of dollars.
