Great gift. Get this: Construction Toys
Bought this for my grandkids ages seven and nine. They seem very happy with it and therefore, like her grandmother, I am happy with the product. I'll update when I know more in a few months. You will either still enjoy it or find it boring. It's also better to know if the toy can stand the test of time. Update: Two grandchildren got this. 7 and 9 years old. Both could build it themselves and enjoyed playing with it, as did their siblings. So it's a five because not only does it bring joy, but it has created a project where they can be challenged and thrive at the same time.
