A button on my 5 year old MacBook Air started to fail. I was told that this indicates that the entire keyboard is starting to deteriorate and the repair would require replacing the keyboard, which would cost more than the old Mac. So it was suggested that I just get a remote keyboard and I went for it. I've been using it for less than a week, but so far it's working well. Easy to set up, connect and start working straight away. I've seen some comments in other reviews about the lid light failing over time. Too early to know if this will eventually be a problem. But overall I'm happy with the purchase.
