Review on Sweave Egyptian Percale Breathable Mattress by Pamela Williams

Softness and softness after washing

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like them! I was initially skeptical as this is a novelty with few reviews but the towels have a nice opaque body and a fine, silky (but matte in the style of a good percale) texture. They are clearly woven from long fibers! When I opened the package I was also surprised at how much chemical coating there was on the sheets and worried I was receiving nylon as there doesn't seem to be a legitimate symbol for Egyptian cotton but after a warm wash with a mild detergent, Bleaching baking soda and oxygen and then rinsing with vinegar then drying on low (in one of those big tumble dryers with no fabric softener or dryer balls) were so pleased with the result. They are way better than the Sleep Mantra sheets I bought earlier this year which are not bad but are much more sheer, rougher and prone to pilling. I think they're worth the money: I have a similar set on sale that I bought from Crate and Barrel, but other than that they're double the price and I think they're very similar. The stitching is not that refined but still comfortable and there are some creases but very small and evenly distributed that don't bother me at all. Try to buy another set soon! Edit: forgot to mention that if you have queen size (20x30 inch) pillows, the pillowcases are too small. I'm a hypoallergenic vegan (and they seem very hypoallergenic after washing!) and use alternative down pillows to make them look a little chunky in quilts. UMMMV with springs.

Pros
  • CARE: We recommend washing bed linen every five to six days. If left on for a long time, discoloration can sometimes occur, especially on white sheets. Do a normal cold cycle with the same colors. We recommend line drying for minimal wrinkles, but a low temperature tumble dryer works great too. Be sure to remove the sheets immediately after the drying cycle is complete to avoid creasing.
