Great light for our dining room!

We built a new house and moved in March 2018. We made some interesting changes to our home including converting the front living room into a large dining room. The builder only offered ONE chandelier with our floor plan, so the builder added a chandelier to the formal dining room to pair with our large antique dining table that has been in the family for four generations. We ended up installing a flush mount in our dining area, so we needed something different. I was looking at other, more expensive, big brand lights and after asking my Facebook friends for help, a friend sent me this light. It had almost everything that a really expensive brand has: glass, more than two lamp sockets, modern country style. Also, it was $200 cheaper, so I decided to take a chance. I do not regret it. Looks great, works well too. My husband's only complaint is that it's actually too bright (I wanted as much light as possible so I put 4-60w bulbs, the max you can use in this fixture). We'll be installing a dimmer soon, but for now we like it. It really adds some character to the part of the house where the builder installed the flush mount in the ceiling and adds charm to the room. I warned my husband before putting it on he might play with it first. I would also recommend giving the BEFOEE glass a thorough cleaning if possible, as we had to clean the glass several times to remove the dust that had settled in the glass between manufacture and installation. You'll need to re-clean the glass after lifting and installing, but a good pre-clean makes removing fingerprints after lifting a lot easier. ceiling before installation. My husband started installing this light while I was away and I got home just in time - he needed help holding the light up as he started attaching it to the ceiling. If you don't have a way to hang it from the ceiling that can be a bit tricky too, but his alternative plan (before I got to the door) was to grab a wire hanger to hang it while he did the wiring. . My hands were the best option IMO. The last photo in this post is before so you can see how much it changed the feel and look of our space.
