Review on πŸ“€ 9-Inch Portable DVD Player by Sony - DVP-FX950 (2009 Model) by Anferny Pineda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent player, ideal for keeping kids entertained on long car rides

Great travel companion. This DVD player is excellent, it comes with many useful accessories including a remote control, A/V cable, batteries for the remote control, an AC wall charger and an AC adapter for use in a car socket (cigarette lighter). ). All components are of high quality. I chose this player over several other players based on all the other great Revain reviews for this player and some average to not so good reviews and comments for other players with similar specs/sizes. This player is foldable with a tablet, touchpad for control (instead of buttons), remote included so I can control the player from the front seat while my kid can continuously enjoy their programs in the back seat. The battery in the player lasts a very long time (I've used it on battery power for about 3 hours so far and the player hasn't turned off). I can't say enough good things about this player, perfect size, great handling, clear picture. Information related to using the player for mounting, which is not an attribute of the player itself, is that it can be easily installed in a car with a very short (about 8-10 inch) elastic cable. I purchased an optional third-party case mount for the device (http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-PDVK-10-10-Inch-Portable/dp/B000P17188/ref=pd_sim_e_3); However, it proved useless as a mount and sat insignificantly for a carrying case, so I found it easier to use a bungee cord routed between the player's screen and the player unit, where the disc is inserted when the player is folded into a flat bed and then each elastic end cord is attached to the headrest guides. The player had to be positioned so that they were slightly wedged into the top of the back of the set, with the bottom of the headrest touching the center of the player's back to prevent slipping. but this setup worked great in the end. I'm just sharing this part of my experience to pay attention to what type of mount and carrying case you're getting and to give you the DIY installation method I used in case you want to try it. This player is excellent and I would recommend it. for all families with small children who go on vacation or long journeys.
