I have many devices that take up a lot of space on my desk and (unfortunately for them) the floor. This stand comes pre-assembled and fits many devices. The white shelves make it easy to spot the black screens found on almost every device. The concave cutout on each tier makes it easier to see and access the back of the shelves, allowing me to take full advantage of each tier to store multiple small devices. I was able to fit cell phones, external batteries, neck speakers and portable hard drives. I prefer to keep lesser used items in boxes where they can be forgotten. Installation problems arise with objects that are less flat. The hub is also designed for cable management with plenty of holes and cutouts to organize charging cables, some zip ties are also included. As stated in the description, the shelves are for 14.8" or smaller laptops, my 10" tablet / 2-in-1 laptops in their protective cases fill the entire rack and my 17" laptop does not fit . The shelves flex when pressed, but not enough for items with a fairly low coefficient of friction to slide out. The power supply is built inside, created by Cyber Power Systems and offers surge protection. The plugs are placed with contacts left and right with a hole for grounding at the top and stacked vertically Due to the orientation of my Surface 3's USB charger, it takes up space on the power strip for multiple plugs. Low power consumption, there are currently USB chargers that will cannot deliver 100W of power through a USB port. The designers have provided space for the power supply units inside the hub, although I would still be concerned about the heat development of the power supply units. Heat build-up in devices can also be a problem. If you plan to commission actively cooled equipment, you should find out if you can position it so that the exhaust air is not blocked. Placement wise this hub is pretty heavy so make sure you have a sturdy table for it. I only have it on the floor where I can reach it, but I see the design would make a lot more sense on a table. There don't seem to be any major manufacturing defects that I can spot, but the American quality is really there. Regarding the price: how much are you willing to pay for a well-designed booth and extension? In general, this hub offers a convenient way to manage them, whether you have a lot of laptops or have accumulated a lot of personal devices over the years that you still want to use.
