I have mainly used this in my smoker to cook various cuts of meat as my smoker also has a built in probe although I figured I could use it for oven cooking if needed. Everything worked fine in my smoker, but after about an hour the high alarm started beeping and flashing HHH. I checked the temperature of the meat with a handheld Javelin Pro and it was still well below what I set the alarm for. Took the battery out and restarted several times but as soon as I reconnected the sensor it immediately went back into high alert mode. I'm back and will try something different.
