I LOVE these hooks! I'm relatively new to crocheting. First I bought some ergonomic hooks but the rubber part kept slipping off rendering them useless. I tried to reattach the rubber piece but nothing changed. These aluminum ones are amazing. Personally, I prefer knitting yarn, which is very thin and requires very small hooks. These hooks cover the full size range so I am very satisfied. I've used a #10 crochet thread (mostly lace weight) and have had great results with smaller hooks. I highly recommend this set. Especially after learning that "ergonomics" and aluminum play no role. My hands feel exactly the same despite the added rubber piece on the ergonomic hooks. They are great for a beginner too. When I think about taking the hook out of my suitcase, life becomes so easy!
