Review on 🔲 Plate Mounted Tactile Keyboard Switches - Drop + Invyr Holy Panda, Kailh Cherry MX Style, 67g Spring (70 PCS) by Pamela Mcgee

I was concerned that my switch set would have the same quality control issues that have been reported over the last few months, such as broken stem legs, uneven spring length and poor packaging that made the switches look like they exploded in the box, but after inspecting half of the set received I found that everything was very good so far. The switches arrived neatly packaged, all switches were on black plastic rails. covered with 1/2" packing foam to keep everything in place. All the switches I opened had the tiniest trace of thin grease, but I didn't find that to be a problem and it at least seemed consistent. I would recommend these Coat switches with my own grease anyway but at least the lube that was The amount applied at the factory was very small but the same on all switches I tested Opinions were that many springs had unequal free lengths I would say 25% of the Springs were 2-3mm longer than most when loose, however when actually using the switches the actuation and depression forces are imperceptible, they all feel and sound the same when used straight out of the box. Less than 5% of the switches I inspected and tested had an audible spring noise, but with lubrication this is not a problem, all switch bodies did not noticeable wobble so I won't remove them. Aside from different spring lengths and some spring ping switches, these switches perform, feel, and sound as expected from Holy Pandas. Update: Remaining counters opened and more inconsistencies found. Significantly larger proportion of feathers of unequal length. Some switches scratch more than others, even after greasing. Although they didn't need it, I tried 0.125mm removable film anyway. They fit well, the sound has changed a bit. Not better, just different.
