I was able to program with no problem, but only one key. The first key would no longer work if the second was programmed. I called several places to get her hair cut. Every place I went or called didn't have the equipment to cut them. In addition, these keys must be programmed. My understanding is that this secondary programming is for starting the car, not for locking and unlocking the car which the user can program using the instructions provided. As explained to me, the second key could not be programmed either because the maximum number of keys had been reached. I was finally able to find an independent locksmith who charged me $200 to cut and program both keys to lock and unlock the car and start it, disabling the anti-theft mechanism that disables our cars. (In fact, he was very anxious to get $250, then $240, and gave up $200 when he saw I already had the keys). It's a good deal considering the retailer charges around $250 or more for a key.
