LOVE this shirt. My 5.8 lb Chihuahua has allergies and despite injections, topical medications etc. she scratched her armpit until she bled. When I saw this button up shirt that covered the entire chest and stomach I hoped it would fit; and I'm happy to say that it is. I measured her per the instructions and bought the small size advertised as 4.2-5.7 lbs, 13-14" bust and 10" length. She measured 13 inches chest and 10 inches long. big, but big enough for her to wriggle out-bolts and all. The next day I bought a very small one advertised as 2.2-4 pounds with an 11-12 inch chest and 8 inch length. Although it's just a touch, it prevents it from scratching and moving - like a second skin. The closeness of the material to her skin seems to relieve itching. The raw area is cleared. The material is very soft and slightly stretchy. She feels good in it. After two days of wearing it has stretched enough to be perfect. The fabric seemed to cover her privates, but when she relieves herself the fabric stays dry and clean. I don't put it in the dryer when washing to avoid possible shrinkage. I will return the smaller size and buy another very small one. (I would advise buyers with similar issues to order one size down.)
