This shoe has a wide opening, which is a big deal for my kid who needs really wide shoes (but it's almost impossible to find the same width in his size, which has a buckle - Velcro). He complained that they were difficult to put on at first, but after a few wears they became comfortable and he liked them. The tongue opens well and wide and the strap is very adjustable. They have a stylish skater look and he loves it. They also have a firmer sock material than fabric so they stand up well to how little boys treat their shoes!
