This was fixed as I was having intermittent problems with the check engine light with evaporative code and found a leak in the "very small leak" system. The local mechanic says to change the gas cap. I replaced it and two weeks later the problem still occurs but now an additional "GASCAP" warning appears on the in-cab display. I check and the gas cap is fully open. Now it's oddly delayed and immediately after the codes are cleared the "GASCAP" light comes on. I erase the code and put the old cap back on. No "GASCAP" warning. I ordered another cap from a seemingly reliable company. We'll see, but this cap failed.
