I have a 48 inch bubble lamp and it works fine as long as you keep the lamp on 24/7. They hover at the top a few days and stay at 12 inches a week later. After two weeks they will be swimming all over the bulb. These are all types of fish and I don't think most people understand that for maximum effect you need to keep the lamp on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
