Review on Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent Packaging Household Supplies in Laundry by Rachel Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decided to compare prices. Check out the results!

We have 5 people doing laundry in our home. So we use a lot of detergent. I decided to try the capsules. I really like their ease of use. I also found that they keep my laundry room clean. No sticky plastic cups and no stains on the washing machine. I have two adult daughters living at home and they are not the tidiest of people. I had an issue with them not closing the detergent lid. Several times they also put it too close to the edge of the car. With a strong spin, he landed on the ground. It was such a mess. Thus, capsules solve the problems of dirty laundry and dirty children. Given the ease of use, I wanted to change the order. I figured they were probably a lot more expensive than Tide's other forms, and maybe that was a luxury I couldn't afford. So I decided to compare prices. Results are in order of availability: 95 oz. Powder for $11.97 (0.17 per charge) 72 capsules for $15 (0.20 per charge) 50 ounces of liquid for $9.94 (0.31 per charge) Also, capsules take up only 10% of the main pantry, while powders consume 14.4% and liquids 17.6%. Liquid is clearly the worst choice. I figured the ease of use and the extra 4.4% pantry made me worth the extra 3 cents per load. I hope this review helps you decide which tide shape is right for you!

Pros
  • Tide PODS are small but powerful. Get 6X the cleaning power* in half the time thanks to an innovative multi-chamber design that separates key ingredients until they get into the wash for maximum cleaning power (*Stain removal with 1 pack of Tide PODS pac on quick wash vs 6 cans of the nearest leaded HE compatible detergent on normal cycle)
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
