I've decided to use it on my workstation with additional computers or devices I'm testing through your PC. I use OBS to "record" devices and use my computer monitor as the display for the device I'm testing. This way I can easily test things or manage additional PCs (along with KVM switches) without actually changing any of my monitors and losing the entire 4K monitor. This device does not support 4K at all when connected to one of my laptops. 4K output was not available on the "discovered" display. Also, when using a pass-through connection, my computer didn't see the actual monitor I was connected to and only sees the capture device as a "monitor". 4K 30 doesn't show up as an option no matter what I do. The small text had some stripes and fringes, and depending on what was going on in different parts of the screen, the colors weren't the same. I realize that this device uses some sort of color compression method to get 60fps to work, as the colors were better when set to 30fps. Latency was good, around 50ms, but banding made it impossible to use this device as a "monitor input" in OBS on my PC. Overall this device is decent but definitely not the best and it is one of the most expensive devices out there.
