Updated. after a few months more plastic parts broke and now the hamster runs away about once a week. Poorly. My daughter loves this cage for her hamster. It's fun to watch the hamster go through the tunnels and run in the ball/running wheel. However, after 1 month the latch on the lookout tower broke so we had to tape it up to keep the animal from escaping. Then the piece holding the ball broke, but we saved it too. In addition, it is very noisy when the hamster runs around in the ball/wheel. We improved the situation a bit by lubricating the joints with olive oil, but the whole cage rattles.
