Review on πŸ‘Ά Baby Jogger City Mini 2 Stroller 2019 - Compact & Lightweight | Quick Fold & Easy Stroll | Jet Black by Reginald Pitt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good stroller; tried to love it, couldn't quite get there.

This is our third stroller, something like height/weight between Babyzen YoYo and Uppababy Vista. We started with Vista because it's compatible with our Peg Perego car seat. Over the years the Vista was clearly not a travel stroller, so we bought a Babyzen YoYo to fill that need. The YoYo is an absolutely phenomenal stroller for almost any situation where you don't have to carry a lot around. Well, it was that last warning that made me start looking for another stroller; Something you can travel with but also hold more gear than a yo-yo. The CityMini 2 seemed to be marked here, so we gave it a try. I've also bought a "console" in the meantime, which is a bag with two cup holders and a magnetic closure that sits behind the child. I would like an umbrella holder but it is not available yet. In terms of agility, it's honestly not much better than our Vista; Yes, you can use it with one hand when traveling through a mall, airport, or similar flat and smooth surface, but I don't find it easy to do so on rough terrain like sidewalks, which the YoYo still rides well on . Three wheels against four can be both a curse and a blessing. They make it easy to shove an item into a corner to take up less space, like in a restaurant, but it also means there's only one exit, which can make it difficult to get out of an elevator, which isn't everyone's place that's how considerate the person is. tries to get the stroller out of the corner where he has only one way until he's far enough away to turn back. Storage; Yes it is MUCH larger than the YoYo and more comfy in shape but things go in and out through a small portal between the legs or a small entryway through the back so it can hardly be used for large items even if space is available . Of course, it is much easier to fold than any stroller; Pull handle, done. I wouldn't call this stroller easy enough to unfold from the folded position. It's not exactly lightweight, and half the time I'm trying to put it in, the deployment clasp will go past one half of the guide frame before catching on the other half, requiring an awkward movement to snap it back on loosen while still trying to hold them. with one hand up. It's actually quite a wide stroller at the back for travel, and the wheels are a reasonable diameter so it's not easy tossing it in the back of an SUV with a bunch of stroller-like suitcases. You can take the wheels off and it's as simple as you just press the latch and they pop out, but do you want to do that at the same time? I'm actually a bit confused as to why the wheels are so big; It's not a proper stroller, I ran with Vista, I would be uncomfortable walking in it and if I didn't run in it smaller wheels would probably be fine. Either way, the fit, finish, build quality, materials, etc. are top notch. I would have no hesitation in recommending this stroller if you want an easy foldable model with good storage, good accessories for the price. I understand that YoYo is way more expensive and our Vista is a big behemoth so both are not for everyone. The Baby Jogger falls right in the middle of this offering and it's a good offering, it just isn't ideal for my use case and I found the unfolding action and large wheels for a slow stroller a bit disappointing at times.
