This shirt was chosen by our beloved 8 year old girl who wanted a red top to match her new skirt. The color turned out like in the picture; so it was the right choice. As other buyers have mentioned in the comments, the manufacturer size for this item is slightly smaller than usual; So, following the advice of other reviewers, we chose a larger one (Medium/10-12 is marked). It turned out to be just right for a girl who normally wears a size 8. The top is really as pictured in the photo and the fabric and construction appear to be of good quality and durability.
