Review on Trixie Wooden Wheel 22 Cm by Kristen Rohr

This bike had some pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try. My Djungarian hamster is very picky and used to not liking wheels. She has a fondness for flying saucers. As soon as I received it in the mail I opened it up, inspected it and prepared the cage for the wheel. When everything was set up I put my hamster in her enclosure and she immediately went over to check on him. It took her a second to figure it out and after a few tries she was hooked! Cork-like material on the inside prevents slipping. Comfortable grip for walking, the wheel is very quiet and she didn't miss her flying saucer at all! I was also a bit nervous that this bike would be too big for her as she is very small and the bike is quite big. I didn't know if it would have any weight since it's a wooden wheel. The product is very light and she had no problems with it. I added velcro to the back of the wheel stand to secure it to the body so it doesn't accidentally tip over. It was easy to get out to free all the bedding that had accidentally gotten caught in the wheel during the night. So far I am happy with my purchase and my hamster seems to be too. One thing I will keep in mind is if the wheel gets dirty how will I make sure it is clean and if it will hold up after washing. This most likely won't be a problem since my hamster is potty trained and won't stain other bedding or toys anyway. This order also came from overseas, so the delivery was delayed by one to two days due to customs. But that wasn't a problem either, it was easy to talk and I received the package. I'm sticking with this bike for now and will buy it again if the need arises. Amazing work on this product! Simple and to the point :)
