This thing is amazing. I've added GPS to my laptops in the past and this device is second to none. In fact, it is Ublox 7 GPS with a standard ceramic antenna. Plug it in and install Ublox's 500kb driver. It creates a virtual COM port and you can use it for your NMEA needs. GPS reception is excellent, but I haven't tried GLONASS. I've read a few articles about people hacking the module inside to take the UART signal from two pins, but those are very small pins/pads and this is definitely an advanced hack/mod. I might try hacking it for use with my Arduino or flight controller in the future.
