I used a hand pump at first to see how it worked but it was a little slow so I hooked up an air compressor hose to it and it was a lot easier and quicker. It took me about 5 minutes to drain the oil but I saved a lot more time not having to lift the jack and brace the stand to get under the car. I will use this for all my oil changes including the transmission. No more dropping the pot when the powertrain is full. A little pricey but well made and worth it given the time saved and the inconvenience of getting under the car for every oil change. I would do it again but I feel like I don't have to as it's made to last. Dennis
