The switch solved the problem with my microwave, however.

I have a GE Microwave JES1142SJ02. The inside of my microwave lit up when the door was opened; The keyboard worked, showed the time, beeped when pressed and counted down, but didn't light up, the player didn't spin and didn't heat up when you tried to use the microwave. After some research I thought it might be a problem with the switch. I opened the microwave, checked all four switches and found that the top master switch was defective. I bought an FA-63 switch as opposed to an FD-63 switch because the specs said it was 16(3) 250v which my old defective switch had stamped on the case. Unfortunately this new switch is not marked on the case as 16A 250V is printed on the case. I don't know the difference between 16(3)A and just 16A but hopefully it's 16(3)A 250V like the spec says and that it's my old failed switch. The switch I replaced is the main switch. This is the top switch that the top door latch contacts and operates with. Inside the microwave is a printed set of wiring diagrams and a flow chart on how to determine what the problem with the microwave could be. You need a security screw to remove the cover. Be sure to discharge the capacitor before doing anything inside the microwave oven, as you could get an electric shock from the electricity stored in the capacitor. So far, so good. My microwave is back to normal and working properly. The $5 counter saved me the cost of a new microwave and over $100. To update. 11/25/2020 The switch only worked for a year. Ordered another one and the problem was solved. Hope it lasts longer than a year. One star deducted.
