If you need speed, you'd better spend your money on a decent WiFi hotspot. Check out the Ubiquiti AC-PRO series. It's just as fast, doesn't tie you to the wall, and benefits your other wireless devices. With this device I was far from reaching the advertised speed of 480 Mbps. My iPhoneX has a top speed of around 200Mbps - the same as Wi-Fi (I have full gigabit internet). On my wife's iPhone 11, her WiFi is even *FASTER* than this ethernet adapter. It also slows down my charging speed: charging is noticeably slower than a direct connection, even though I have a 3 amp charger - powerful enough for both devices. I hesitated. Give it 1 star because part of it is probably Apple's fault (device shortages). But considering this is an MFI certified Apple device and you can't use it with anything *else* and an iPhone/iPad, I really don't know who this device is for. Especially at this price point, since a regular Ethernet to USB2 adapter costs $10, this is very disappointing.
