All About the Lowering Links for Yamaha Roadstar - A Bumpy Ride!

These CNC Aluminum Lowering Links might be the perfect solution for riders who want to reduce the height of their Yamaha Roadstar 1600 and 1700 Series motorcycles. However, my experience with it was not entirely smooth. On the plus side, the product is well-made and adjustable, allowing for a customized lowering of up to two inches. The red color looks pretty cool too. Installation is fairly easy if you have some mechanical know-how. But here's where the problems started. I found that the bike's handling was noticeably affected after installing these links. The ride became bumpier and less stable, especially when going over rough terrain or taking turns at higher speeds. This could be a safety issue for some riders. Overall, I would recommend considering this product if you're looking to lower your Yamaha Roadstar, but be aware of the potential drawbacks. I give it three stars out of five.

Pros
  • Lowering links can also improve comfort, as your feet can now reach the ground more easily, providing a more relaxed and comfortable riding experience
Cons
  • The reduced ground clearance that comes with lowering links may make it difficult to ride on uneven or bumpy roads, limiting your ability to explore different terrains
