General Tools and Instruments 505 Cordless Precision Engraver

I will be using it to sign stained glass windows and other items I make that I hope to sell. I've tried a corded engraver and also tried using my Dremel with and without the flexible extension and I *much* prefer this one. Liquid or even water on the surface of the object to be engraved, as well as very frequent pauses to reduce heat generation, will extend the life of the cutter and reduce the load on the motor, improving performance and extending its life. EXTRA : Well, it's the end of August, so I've been using this nifty little widget for quite some time. I am currently using it with a diamond ball bit to drill screw holes in some stainless steel design parts. .Yes it takes time because hey it runs on two AAA batteries and doesn't have the power of an industrial angle grinder LOL!* BUT* what I like most is that it's *small, I can really *control it * and use it for small parts. - So I still like it!

Pros
  • SECURITY AND IDENTIFICATION – Engraving tool enables accurate cordless engraving with permanent identification by each user; from hobbyist craftsman to professional technician
Cons
  • Big and bulky
