PERFECT for nighttime parenting

Every seasoned mom has told me I need leg sleepers for my first child. "They're so light!" "You don't have to fiddle with buttons and snaps at night" "You won't expose your baby's whole body when changing diapers" Well, before my son was born, I thought that I would would love zip-up pajama bottoms like any other mom would. I couldn't be more wrong. From the first time I used these sleepers I hated them. My son's feet were so big they didn't go past the ankle. Thank god his legs were so short that he had a few inches more in his legs. Zippers often broke after the first wash or melted in the dryer, rendering the rest of the garment unusable. More than once, but twice, I buttoned up the precious skin of the jiggling baby bump, making me a very guilty mother. I still had to uncover most of his body when changing his diaper and hoping my son would dutifully bend his knee to fit his legs. In the first month I got so fed up with the sleeping bags that I donated them all to charity and ordered these. These robes were a life saver. There are no zippers, buttons, fasteners. PERFECT for late night parenting The neck is nice and wide so changing clothes is a breeze and you never have to drag dirty clothes down baby's face. Changing a diaper is particularly easy as you only need to uncover your baby's bottom. Sleeves are also sewn into mittens without scratches. The quality is very high. Doesn't feel flimsy, the material is nice and thick but soft, the print doesn't fade or pill even after 3 months and the length is great even for big kids. My almost 8lb baby was too small for them when newborn but by the time he was 6 weeks old they fit loosely but was still safe to sleep on. Now at 4 months he is still wearing them and they still have plenty of room. Normally my son outgrows each size just in time for the upper garment age limit so I would say they are true to size and I predict dresses will fit up to 6 months. If you have a winter baby, you can easily layer a jumpsuit and socks or pants directly under the dress, or wrap it over it for extra warmth through the night. UPDATE: My son is now 6 months old and as predicted he looks like he will be wearing these pajamas all night. He's in the 50th percentile for height and weight, and I think he'll be wearing those briefs for a month or more. The shoulders are still perfectly fitted, the sleeves are just the right length with wide wrist openings (perfect for those wrists!), and the length just shows off his legs. I just put socks on and it stays perfectly warm. After 6 months of regular use, the fabric still feels thick and soft, the stitching is intact, there is no pilling, fading or yellowing. They look like new when I first bought them.
