When I ordered these pajamas, they were listed as cotton and labeled 95% cotton and 5% spandex, but they don’t feel like cotton. So I did a burn test (I’ve never done that before), and the fabric reacted like cotton is supposed to with a bit of residue that was likely the spandex. If you’re like me and expecting a traditional cotton PJ know these feel more like really soft jersey cotton.The material is also a little thinner, so, while not sheer, it isn’t as warm as expected, and if you do feel cold, it will show as it molds to your body. It is a strange combination as the cut is modest but the fabric revealing. In short, these aren’t something to pack for visiting family overnight or for a hospital stay without a robe to throw over it.They are very nice for lounging in on a lazy Saturday morning and would likely be just as nice for cuddling up with a significant other while watching TV on the couch.They could also be a good pajama to take you through most of pregnancy and recovery because of the fabric and waist's stretchiness. The looser/lower fit of the pants leaves room for the bulky postpartum accessories and, in my experience, button-up tops work well for nursing.The elastic at the waist is about an inch wide, and while comfortable, is still strong. I’m 5’5” and 150lbs. The large is loose fitting on me but secure on my waist- measured flat, the waist is 15.25” but will stretch to 19” (see picture). The inseam measures 18.25, but when I wear these at my natural waist, they brush the tops of my feet (the crotch hangs a bit low- not MC Hammer low but lower than my other pajama pants do).A drawstring runs around the waist, but it is so thin and stretchy it is more decorative than anything. It isn’t needed though.The pajamas are very well made, and all the seams look and feel secure. The top is reinforced along the opening but is done in a way that doesn’t show through the front. I think the material would wear out long before the seams unravel!
