As others have said this kit is fine. It took me a while to get a decent mix together. Tom/snare mics are best for modern drums. Not very good for a trap. Instead I put the sm58 on the snare drum. I have found that they work best for top and middle toms. There isn't enough response on the floor tom, but in a pinch it'll do. Overhead is definitely not enough. Heavy cover and also some "hiss". But they will fit. Mic for a barrel. As others have reported, yes this is good value for money. Not the best construction, but the sound reproduction is flat and great at low frequencies, as you would expect from a kick mic. I only adjusted the EQ for a little punch. Conclusion: Do you want to learn to play the drums on a budget? Then yes, try this one. They're cheap enough to learn. Just be aware that they aren't professional quality and you'll probably have to fiddle around to get the sound you want.
