My kids have never seen me without a beard. My eldest is now 42 years old. I wanted something that would keep my beard from swaying for my grandkids. I liked the smell of this product. It's woody and long-lasting. Since I usually use a woody aftershave, it complements them rather than competes with them. I was hoping the oil would soften my whiskers. It doesn't seem to do much for my beard. This makes the hair feel silkier, but it still feels too spiky. I usually trim my beard to about 1/2 inch, but sometimes I let my jawline grow out to an inch. If my beard was much longer I might notice a big difference in softness. I still highly recommend this product for the woody and lingering scent and will buy again when it runs out.
