I ordered this shirt in size XL for my son who is 9 years old and tall for his age is (4 years). ). 8 inches and 99 pounds). It is true to size (which is what we usually buy for him) and is a bit long which I liked as it gives room to grow and added comfort. fits very true to size or skinny I would suggest downsizing. Polyester fabric with a pattern printed on it, but it's soft and smooth and my picky son loves to wear it. It stretches very little. He chose a pattern (sunset sky with palm trees). Colors are bright but not super blinding/bright. It was the perfect shirt for him to wear to a luau themed party.
