These magnetic latches are very strong and thin enough to be used on my closet doors. One of our doors was slightly warped and wouldn't close completely, so we bought these magnetic latches to see if they could fix the problem. I put a latch near the door handle and when the door was almost closed a strong magnet pulled it all the way. These two parts are so thin that the door closes completely. The closure is so strong that the double-sided tape won't last more than an opening or two. This is not a problem as the holes in the tape line up with the holes in the metal. Once the metal parts are attached to the cabinet body and door, you can simply attach the screws provided.
