Review on πŸ’ͺ Muscle Revive: Resealable Mineral-Rich Natural Therapy by Brandi Shatwell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very mild salts, minimal benefit.

The only other Dead Sea salt I've bought before (that I've returned) was Minera & Once through a wholesale organic ingredients site. If you've ever used DSS Minera then you're familiar with its strong odor, which to me smells like the "sore/rash healing" iodized salt pads they give you in the hospital to cover the affected areas before wrapping them in gauze. The Minera brand claims that the scent is an indicator of high mineral content. Another DSS I bought many years ago had a very subtle but similar smell. They were practically odorless. smelled more like salt. But maybe Minera adds something to their product to make you believe that only their products are real, who knows. More importantly, I bathed my 3 year old with about 1/2 cup to heal his feet (battered with bug bites and scabs) and they didn't seem to work that well either. Usually, after a salt bath, his nose runs, he relaxes, the inflammation subsides and almost heals by the morning. None of that happened. I think if you're just looking for a "simple" DSS bathing experience and want value for money in terms of volume, this is for you. But for those looking for more intense therapeutic/healing/detoxifying benefits, I didn't find them to meet our needs.

Pros
  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Sitz baths Salts for treating and recovering from hemorrhoids and preparing salt scrubs for the face. Used as a natural remedy to relieve muscle pain.
Cons
  • Doubtful
