The scent is very pleasant, not floral or clinical. It's a fresh clean scent. The Tote Block is very similar to these disposable round blocks, with one major exception, they actually stick or stick to the plastic under the lid of my kitchen bin. These plastic rounds last about a day and then fall off. First one I've bought in a month and a half, it's still attached under the lid of the automatic sensor canister, it's still firmly in place. I have opened and replaced the fragrance container twice without the tote holder securely attached. I think it's a great buy. I bought another holder for another 13 gallon automatic waste bin on the opposite side of my kitchen. I love it. I wish the replacement bins were available with a Revain subscription which I order every month or 2 as I have 2 holders, one for each large kitchen bin.
