Not very well at first, then very well. Well, lately I've been all the rage for adult coloring and I love to work with watercolor pencils, but working with them is difficult. When I saw these watercolor brush pens I was excited because I thought they could help me with the technique and line coloring literally as a watercolor I could miss the interesting and in many cases enjoyable but sometimes tedious process of using water and Water. Pens and a brush or 2 to create a specific effect (and yes I meant effect) as well as an effect. I thought they would be darker and lighter and probably look like the ones I just made. I could get some practice and some brighter pieces. Brush pens are easier to use, but they have some problems, such as B. a strand that sticks out that you can't see at first, leaving a dark purple trail through a circle of soft pink. In addition, several colors are so close together that they are almost interchangeable. This is only a 20 piece set but I have 2 green, 2 blue and 2 orange pens. So if you are not looking for them in the picture you will see the difference. With a large set it's ok to expect but at only 20 I'd rather have one shade more in the purple spectrum than 5 greens, 2 of which are almost identical. red and orange. Now the lighter shades can be mixed, and the ones that mix do well. 2 pale shades can give you great results while pale and medium can give good results depending on the color. Shading can be done and looks nice but if you want a smoother look it can only be done with about 4 buttons. I have already mentioned some of the advantages or disadvantages of these pens. The rest of YOU ARE FUN! Working on the technique, you get bright and bold colors. I like to use them in my geometric shapes and then I'm going to make a capuchin monkey with lots of shapes on the face and body. I also like to use them when I want to color with instant gratification. And sometimes it looks like you've grabbed 8 packs of markers. But they were pretty cheap and if you wanted to you could do some really complicated flashy work and tell people you did it with 8 packs of Crayola markers. I will post a photo of the first pattern I made with these watercolor pencils. So if, like me, you're working on getting better at using watercolor pencils (especially if you're doing what I do and using water and sometimes a brush, it's a fun, useful, and relatively cheap method. Honestly, if this set was 8 $.99 I would give it 5 stars and tell everyone this is an amazing deal. Also during a fight you can always just mindlessly draw in front of the TV.Cigarette cravings which is why I really started drawing pencil mandalas, Monkey mandalas and elephs would captivate me.
