After covering my seats with travel blankets and towels after returning from the gym (lots of sweat) I gave up looking for a suitable seat cover in the seat of a Golf R after a few years of searching; I think the volume is not enough to justify a special seat cover for this model. Alfa Gear is a good compromise. It has rubbery grooves on the back of the case that really help keep it in place without leaving marks or otherwise damaging the leather seat's finish, even with repeated use. The back also appears to be very opaque, meaning the coating doesn't "soak through," which is impressive. The microfiber pile is deep and plush like the premium MF car detailing polishing cloths and remains fluffy and lint-free with no tangles after multiple washes and almost daily use. Now I have 2 of them, one for each. Front seats when I pick the kids up from training or after mountain biking. more like a perfectly sized towel that doesn't slip around the seat. The lid is rectangular in shape and the "top" has a short strap and nylock-type side buckle that can be looped around the headrest or the top of the seat. I wish it was adjustable because it's too big in girth for the top not to fall onto the headrest over time or if pulled, but it still protects the seats great and probably works well on seats with a little more Headrest. Scope Overall, I'm satisfied. They're reasonably priced, durable, washable (hang dry - I wouldn't risk putting the rubberized backing in the dryer at any temperature) and look so good I don't have to take them off after each use. And interestingly, on hard rides, they actually fix me in the seat better than directly on the leather, due to the adhesion between the leather surface and the rubberized lining; When they are installed I move a lot less.
