Looks like sci-fi when boiling, blue light goes out when done. I had to boil it 3 times to get rid of the plastic/factory smell before using it, just a drop of dish soap (I overdid it and it was more like a crazy experiment). Bought the silver one to match my fridge and dishwasher. Update: almost two years later it's still working, the markings are a bit worn from washing. Now I have two, one at home and one at work. Also works great on the shelf under the counter. Auto shut off, no shedding or rusting. In the case of mineral deposits, use vinegar from time to time (simply leave the water-vinegar solution to work for a few hours or overnight and boil once). The video shows that it still works as intended. The only thing is that the rooms are starting to be rinsed off, which is probably due to the occasional deep cleaning with vinegar (leave the vinegar-water mixture for a few hours and boil) and then a thorough rinsing.
