My 5 year old loves this water bottle. She had fun coloring in the designs and sticking the gems on the bottle. Markers are conveniently stored in a pouch that can also be decorated. She takes the bottle to school and it's easy enough for her to remove the cap. Hand wash recommended and this is how I cleaned it. You may need a bottle brush to clean the inside. The markings will wash off over time, but the gems will stay in place. All in all a great product. At first the bag had a strong smell, but after airing it disappeared and is no longer a problem.
