Charges my iPhone 12 quickly but gets warm at times

The cable itself looks and feels solid. I bought it because I needed a longer cable so I didn't feel constrained when charging my phone as I always work on it and it definitely does the job and charges my iPhone 12 pretty quickly but sometimes my phone gets REALLY hot . And I'll probably have to get another charger because I don't want to ruin my phone.
