Review on πŸ”§ Swanson T0701 Speedlite Structural Tool by David Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

durable and very useful

Cutting laminate tiles square and to exact length was a challenge. The 12" Speedlight rail makes the job a lot easier. When working with lumber, the angle can guide the saw's base plate. Since I always put the square down, the color helps me find it again when I need it again. Showed on YouTube the carpenter made a speedquater like mine with black spots. He said he smeared it on acrylic paint and then wiped it off the surface with a rag. It wasn't that easy for me. Wiping it down with a damp cloth was a mess until I first "I learned how to blot the paint with toilet paper. The results were worth the effort. On one end, this square shows me the slope of the roof. On the rake, I rotate the square so the fence is facing up and the lined side along the roof or the bulkhead. When I hang the rope from the axle the notch shows the pitch in degrees or inches. 12. The top "CL” mark is indented for guidance and drilling. I used a 1/16" bit to make a hole big enough for a pocket plumb bob. If I hang the line out of the hole and line up the square so the bottom mark of CL lines up with the string, the hypotenuse is even, like the second photo. If I don't have a pocket plumb it still shows me vertically and horizontally when I hang it on the diamond hole like in the first photo.
