Review on Cable Matters 2-Outlet Surge Protector with 4.8A 4-Port USB Charger, Tablet Holder Included by Scott Gamache

I've spent many nights looking at Revain's compact, streak-free surge protector with outlets and USB ports for quick charging. And I started thinking I wouldn't find it until I came across this device from Cable Matters, a company known for its high quality from previous purchases. described only until you get into the USB port specifications. And then you'll find that the TOTAL power output for the ports doesn't support more than one at the fast 2.4 amps. And when you plug in that second device (or more), it just slows down charging for everyone. This compact Cable Matters device is the only one I've seen with a total output of 4.8 amps, enough to quickly charge two devices at the same time. Fiction! Add to that excellent build quality and a convenient slot for phones, tablets, kindle or whatever while charging. Why is FAST perfect? The two outlets are so close together that anything but a regular plug, even the smallest power adapter, will block use of the second outlet, so keep that in mind. Since this is a surge protection device, and devices that require surge protection often have power supplies, this is a real design oversight.
